Match preview: Lancashire Senior Cup final beckons for U23s
Liverpool U23s hope to clinch their first silverware of the season when they take on Fleetwood Town in the final of the Lancashire Senior Cup on Friday night.
After securing three straight wins in Premier League 2 so far, Neil Critchley's young Reds will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start and win the trophy for a 12th time.

"It's a competition from last season that has been carried over but it falls nicely into our programme. It's a cup final and it's a chance to try and win some silverware.
"It might give me an opportunity to play some of the other boys who haven't played as much recently, we'll have to see.
"We are looking forward to it and we want to win as we always look to try and win every game we play.
"We have respect for Fleetwood Town and it will be a tough game. They are playing Liverpool and they will be desperate to beat us, so we have to be guarded and make sure our attitude and approach is right on the night, but nothing I've seen from our players so far this season suggests anything other."

"It's exciting to play in a cup final and all of the lads are really looking forward to it.
"There's nothing better as a footballer than winning trophies and it's what you want to do in your career.
"It's a competition that holds special memories for me because last season I scored my first hat-trick for the club against Burnley. It was a great feeling to score a hat-trick for Liverpool, the club I've supported since I was young.
"It was actually the first hat-trick I've ever scored and it was a nice moment. I also got a goal in the semi-final win over Rochdale and it would be nice to get another one in the final.
"I certainly feel I can add more goals to my game. I'm getting into the box more and hopefully I can get a few more this season."
