Jürgen Klopp will be unable to call on defender Joel Matip again when Liverpool take on Sevilla in Spain on Tuesday night.

The Reds will be without their No.32 for a fixture that could see them secure a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League after he sustained a knock in training last week.

However, the manager expects Matip to be in contention for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Chelsea at Anfield.

Adam Lallana could make his comeback from the thigh problem that has kept him out since pre-season, though Klopp insisted he will exercise caution when considering a return for the Englishman.

Nathaniel Clyne is the only other absentee for the visitors as he continues his recovery from minor back surgery.

As for Sevilla, they have been left sweating on the fitness of defender Sebastian Corchia, who was forced off in the 75th minute of the weekend win over Celta Vigo with a knee strain.

However, according to local press, the Frenchman is targeting a return for the visit of the Reds, as are right-back Gabriel Mercado and attacker Joaquin Correa.

Nicolas Pareja and Daniel Carrico remain sidelined.
