Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to do battle for the services of Guinea midfielder Naby Keita who has shone at RB Leipzig.

Klopp is not alone in wanting to add the all-action midfielder to his side as a host of big names across Europe have had him watched with a view to a summer move and Bayern Munich are the ones who are said to be leading the way.

The 22-year-old arrived at Leipzig last summer from Red Bull Salzburg but his desperation for regular Champions League football could see him move on.

Keita has caught the eye as he has been a key attacking weapon for Ralph Hassenhuttl’s side, scoring four goals and assisting eight more following his £9.3million move last June, and now the race is on to snap him up.
