Inaki Williams insists he is happy in Spain and has no intention of leaving Athletic Bilbao.

Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for Williams in the January transfer window with Jurgen Klopp keen to bolster his attacking options.

It has been reported that Liverpool are willing to meet the 22-year-old's £43million release clause.

Juventus have now joined the pursuit to sign Williams from Bilbao following several scouting trips.

But the Spain international has distanced himself from leaving the La Liga club and insists he is happy at Bilbao.

“People have put words in my mouth, things that I have never said," Williams told Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

"I’m happy where I am and this is where I want to be.

"I have always thought about staying at Athletic and I’ve no intention of changing clubs."

Williams enjoyed a breakthrough season last year, scoring 13 goals in all competitions but has registered just two in La Liga this campaign.
